1978 Chevy Scottsdale Truck Value?

We need the blue book value of a 1978 Chevy Scottsdale Truck, rusted with a new transmission, the rear bumper is bent and in unrepairable condition.

I've tried the Kelly Blue Book value site but it only goes to 1990 in years and every other site ethier doesn't have the year or the model. Help?

well depending i would say 500-1000...its an old truck and people would really only buy it for a beat up truck or to restore...you can get some but not alot for it

For a truck of this age, it is really a matter of what the market will bear. A truck that is a runner will always have some value, but it is a question of what it is still useful for, how many miles on it, and how many miles of useful hauling life are left in it?

I'll guess it is probably worth around $1000.
 
its still worth about 1500 bucks right now to anyone needing a good work vehicle,they really don't use a kbb price on one in that condition,you just have to base the price on what it will bring in your area,i had one about a year ago that was at best a good wood hauling truck and it brought 1500 real easy,good luck.
