I've recently been considering purchasing a motorcycle because it seems like it would be convenient for my lifestyle/schedule/gas prices (ahh!). I've recently discovered that my parents have a 1973 Honda XL100 stashed in the garage, and am wondering if this particular model is notoriously... awesome... dangerous...prone to needing lots of maintenance... anything? It's in decent shape; I'd like the opinion of a motorcycle buff on whether it might be worth fixing up as opposed to buying another one. I know almost NOTHING about motorcycles, so I probably won't follow if you get really technical; if it helps, you can pretend you're talking to a kid. haha
Also, what would a bike like this generally be used for?
