1973 Honda Cb350 - Electronic Ignition = Battery Drain?

Hello. I recently installed an electronic ignition on my 1973 Honda cb350 and ever since doing so I've had to recharge the battery on a weekly basis. Is this normal? Is there any way around it?

Thanks for your help.

Take your negative lead off the battery and touch a light bulb between the battery and the wire. If it glows while the engine is shut off and the key is in your back pocket, your battery is draining itself when your bike is sitting in your garage.

Don't blame me if the light bulb breaks and injures you or you get electrocuted. Alternatively you can use an ammeter to check the current.
