hi i am 14 and was wondering if a 1971 honda cl 175 would be a good first dirt bike. i don't have alot of money to spend on a nice one and looking though craigslist and other online ones most of the dirt bikes that would be in my buget are broken but this one seems to be in good shape and its supposed to be onroad and off road.

but i guess what i'm saying is would it be a good first bike because i know chances are i'm going to fall alot, i also want to know if it would be aloud(sp?) to ride on trails. thanks

heres i link to a 72 which looks the same http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/honda_cl_175_1972.php

My dad has had lots of hondas and basically in my opinion, Honda bikes/dirt-bikes/atvs are the best all-around you can get and they are easy to find parts for in case you wreck or wanna upgrade some broken or shot parts.

P.S. I sell on Craigslist, be careful of sellers on there because there are rarely any truthful sellers...sometimes they will leave important info out to get you to buy it. There are very few good on road and off road bikes....I'm not even sure if they would be legal, you'd have to check in on that....

find a dirt bike and save the Cl 175 for a collector. There are a ton of them turning them into vintage cafe racers.
