i just acquired a 67 toyota corona, i need to know what engine will swap with the original transmission, the engine is frozen solid, what other toyota engine will fit. ive searched and search, and no one has a clue. the original was a 3r... with it being real wheel, i dont think a 3sfe will bolt to it, considering the front wheel format... what will fit? if i have to just swap the tranny.... what will fit? i could find a 1j out of a sc300 and the tranny to go with it.... but will it fit? or what? please, thank you.
no i havnt, but you have to know that i live in the middle of nowhere town in the middle of the mid west, to most people around here, toyotas are german.

I'm not sure what engine will fit exactly. But I can point you in the right direction.
Check out www.toyotanation.com.

Possibly a 72-85 RWD Celica will fit without modification.

With a bit of fabrication you could definetly fit a 1jz or a 2jz in that bay with switching the tranny at the same time.
