1966 dodge dart slant six problem?

got a 66 dodge dart with a slant six. well today it was running fine until i put gas in it at the gas station. everytime i press the brake in gear drive or reverse it dies. it wont die while its idling nor driving just when the brake applied to stop. what could be the issue?

You added bad gas or the carburetor is acting up

may have a leak in a vacum hose, probably something simple, those were great cars!! one of the best engines ever made , in my opinion
