I got a 1964 chevy impala ss from a young man in Wisconsin, I currently live in indiana but the car was a true ss matching numbers so I went to check it out. On the Wisconsin title it says previously Titled in California. The vin also has a L which means made Reciepts Angeles plant. So the car wasn't a Midwest car made a the Janesville Wisconsin plant and it a 14 in the vin true ss. I checked the trans it's a power glide and motor is 327. I just can't find the manufacture date on the motor see if it orig. Long story short I did all the work to find out about the car myself. I traded it from a young guy that said he didn't have the previous owners info. I want to get the history on it. It has the 936 paint code and still is white but has a bad paint job. I found receipts in cars to track previous owners this one I'm stuck in I realize it 46 years old but I want to know what been done to etc trace it down. I know pre 81 it's pretty much impossible I really want to find the previous owners any ideas?
