Try to get on with your parents, and look for an older r6. I'm 20 with a clean record and I ride a ninja zx6. It was going to be $500/yr on my own plan, but I got on my dad's plan (combining our 2 bikes) and its only $60/yr now (liability only). I strongly recommend the safety classes, as insurance companies usually cut your payment afterwords.
