probably wont happen soon but im really considering it. more than likely a honda, maybe a CBR600RR...comments, any are welcome!
and what would be a good bike for a beginner. ive been riding four wheelers for about 12 yrs and im a little partial to honda. so preferable made by honda...
im not saying that im going to do this right now, maybe a in a year or so, maybe more, but i appreciate everyones comments including suggestions

I started on a 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 and my fiance started on a Ninja 500. You shouldn't be starting on a CBR600RR. It's too much for a beginner. Don't let society make you feel inferior for starting off on a more forgiving bike. It's your safety in question.

Edit: For the guy talking about a 600cc sportbike (only squids and people that don't ride call them crocket rockets) going 180mph, they can't. As for the insurance part, I only pay 60/month for full coverage with a $500 deductible and 50/100/50 coverage. That is on 3 bikes with no tickets/accidents and 23 years old with a 08 Hayabusa, 00 TL1000R and a 2006 Husqvarna 510smr. Maybe you should call up State Farm and get a quote from them? Sounds like you're overpaying by a lot.

yea right
wait till you get your first insurance bill, 18 year old female insuring a 180 mph crotch rocket, oh hum, wonder what that would cost? considering 30 year old men with good driving records pay around $3000 a year!
wonder how much it would cost for you,,,, huh?

Welcome to the sport, but I hate to see a newbie on an 'R '
bike.
Bad things happen.
Start with a bit smaller and less specialized machine.

i think your getting way too far ahead of yourself. you havent even gotten your license yet and your already considering getting a bike that some adults couldnt even handle. if u like the cbr's then get a cbr 125 or cbr 250 at the most...start from there and get used to riding on 2 wheels first before you consider the dangers of riding a powerful sport bike.
