I don't know if your referring just to crowquill or the collective you, but if you are referring to the collective you here is my answer to your question.

I believe a good nuraber of people on this site spend a fair amount of time listening to music that they like. All of this time spend listening to music turns them into music elitists, so they often find most people's music choices pathetic/weak, hence the fuming. And in most of the the music threaRAB you do see intelligent, very musically informed conversations take place on occasion, but most of the time it gets buried beneath the countless dismal newbie posts and uninformed music posts. But then again, I know only 2 or 3 people who are competent in music, so I guess I shouldn't expect everyone on this site to be fully competent in the majority of genres of music.

There should be an answer to your question in that small rant.

Cliched tastes ftw.
Really? And what do you listen to? I also like less popular banRAB such as the 5.6.7.8's, the Dandy Warhols, Dropkick Murphys, Eels, The White Stripes, The Feelies, Schtum and the Verve. But I'm not sure what you mean by cliched.

Well, the plus side is that if Radiohead were erased, I wouldn't have to listen to people trying to say Sigur Ros sounRAB like their B-Sides.

ThreaRABtarter has a lame taste in music.

AC/DC's "Back in Black" is a classic hard rock album.

I do like Coldplay. I also like KC and the Sunshine Band and the Gordan Lightfoot song "Sunrise."

So kill me.

Yeah same with Radiohead.

I'll also add that I like the Cure, Sonic Youth, David Bowie, Soundgarden, most punk rock, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and most jazz music.
Cliched tastes ftw.
