16 Blocks

Went to see this this morning and have to say its not a bad little thriller. Bruce Willis plays the aged, gammy legged detective well and its some of the best acting I've seen from him since Die Hard and Pulp Fiction. Mos Def isn't too bad either (even if his voice is a bit nasal :D )

Anyone else seen it?

I saw this Friday night and thought it was very good. Bruce Willis was great and played his character very well.

I would recommend this.

I trust you're joking Iain.

I found it rather pedestrian myself and there wasn't quite enough chemistry between the leaRAB to make the buddy thing work (mainly down to the writing I think). The whole bakery thing seemed a little contrived and the bus bit had me thinking it's a long time since I last saw The Gauntlet.
David Morse 'was great though as always and Brucie and Mos Def (accent aside) were pretty good too.

Nerdy fact - I noticed the script was by Richard Wenk who directed Vamp - the best Grace Jones-starring vampire flick ever made!

that is what to usually expect from Bruce Willis. i think he can adapt to any character he neeRAB..wether it's hard man John McClane or father Harry Stamper he's just a brilliant actor. one of my favourates.

think ill go see this film some time

thought it was alright, even if the ending was predictable.

however wanted to punch eddie bunker within 5 minutes of his screen time!!!

worse than rudy rhod from the fifth element

Nah, Die Hard 4 is only due out in 2007.

Like to watch this 16 blocks myself, looks good from what I've seen.

Got some quite good films this year, MI3, 16 Blocks, Rocky Balboa, Superman Returns, XMen 3, Fast & Furious 3.

These are ones I liked to watch anyway.
