If I switch to the $15 email only plan would I still be able to surf the web via wifi with an unlocked BlackBerry 8320? I am assuming I would be able to. The Rogers rep I discussed things with told me that all browsers are blocked with the $15 email only plan and it would also restrict me from connecting to the browser with a wifi connection. Is this true?
Verifiied, after cust. sservice, BB technisian and baack to Cust. servise i got it , and itss no contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 offfer i do belive ends feb 5....sry for bad spelling, keyboard broken on laptop
I'd like to know the answer to this question also - I just purchased an unlocked 8320 also and if I could get a $15 data plan and use the browser on the WIFI connection then I would have no problems with that either!
Dunno if anyone has caught onto this yet, but if you have the $15 plan, you can install older version of Opera (3.1) and gain browsing..lmao...it surprises me that on a site this big no one has posted this yet.
On my phone the TCP/IP setting is blank, Opera Mini is using the blackberry.net apn. does Rogers have a way of determining which traffic would be Email and which would not be? That is the question I want answered.
