1408 is fucking terrifying

exactly. the movie was not even remotely scary. a little bit creepy at parts. it's only saving grace was cusack and mccormack (and her only because i think she's hot).

I found it decent up until the point where the flood comes into the room, then it just got ridiculous. It was like they wrote an ending, then realized it sucked so added 15 more minutes to the movie.

I just finished watching it like 10 minutes ago.
I'm too old to get scared by horrors, but this movie definitely was creepy and had its moment.
Best horror since The Ring.

That's exactly what happened.
The test audience didn't like the original ending.
The movie's based of Stephen King's short story though.

at first when the room flooded and it looked like he was out I was pissed off. The people behind me thought that the movie was over so they started standing up and it was just so sudden that if that had been the end the movie would have sucked. the only things that really made me jump was when something showed up in a mirror or when he almost fell becasue of the lady. also the asshole in the vents started me a little a first.
