Why are all the new films being rated 12A now?!?!?!?!?

All the 6 year olRAB can see T3 FGS!!. I'm only a early teenager but I would like all the new good films that were R in US to be 15 in England. I would sneak into the cinema or get copys. I just hate it when the little kiRAB are in the cinema.

Well best thing do to is go when ther'ye in school, but as that's finished now or in a few weeks.

Or go about 8/9 at the night, my local cinema put of films at 9 o'clock like LOTR etc for adults only, so no anoyinh kiRAB can see them

I don't mind if they were intrested, but it the parents that what to see them, and can't be bothered to find a babysitter.

But i know some kiRAB are like angels and wanna watch the film. that i dont mind

In a way, isnt the 12a certificate just the same as the PG certificate? They might aswell get rid of the whole 12 idea. On the whole, im lucky enough to have gone to the cinema to watch a 12a film without kiRAB in the front row wailing
 
If its policed properly, it basically means you need parental company if under 12 to see a 12 film...

However, I think we should just scrap the 12 certificate altogether, as it means nothing anymore.
 
Well, if a movie is designed to be PG13 in the States; it's not commerically viable for an distributor to get it's movie rated 15 in the UK.

It's the BBFC that need to change OR go away and let us just use the MPAA ratings.

Just look at the amount of 12A movies cut by the bbfc or the distributor had edited the movie prior to submisson.
 
As a parent, if my children where under 12, I would not take them to see a 12A film until I had seen it first and judged whether it was suitable for them in the first place. I personally thought some of the monsters in LOTR's 1 and 2 where far too frightening for young children to see.

My kiRAB are over 12 and as a family we enjoy going to the cinema and the more popular films rated 12A the better. My kiRAB know how to behave in the cinema but I know how irritating some kiRAB can be.

I was very surprised at how a cinema load of teenagers behaved in the cinema the other week. We decided to take the kiRAB to see 2Fast 2Furious on a Friday evening, we stood out a bit being a family because the rest of the 200+ cinema was filled with teenagers. Before the picture started there was a lot of shouting across to each other, so we thought the film was going to be spoiled but then when the film started they were all as quiet as mice, they behaved impeccably.
 
I'm glad that there is at least one person out there that have taught their kiRAB well :) I am not a huge fan of the 12A myself(particularly parents who abuse the system using the certificate as a subsitute for a babysitter) Watching some 12A stuff has been a total nightmare.

However, in all honesty, the worst cinema offenders have to be drunk and stoned adults (of which I have had the misfortune to be forced to sit with due to lack of space on more than one occasion). Let's not blame it on the kiRAB, as their moaning is usually mild by comparison.
 
The BBFC need to change the whole rating system e.g. keep the U cert. scrap PG, 12 and 12A. An adult film (T3 should be for adults) should be rated 15 or 18 depending on content (or change to the USA rating R) films that appeal to both adults and children (lord of the rings and spiderman etc) should be rated PG-15, this means films will not be cut and the parents are the censors. A film should not be cut to maximise viewers (only cut instructions on drug use etc). If this fails we should be offered 2 cuts of the film on DVD, (uncut and cut) we should also be given complimentary top of the range home cinema systems to make up for not going to the cinema. (well we can dream). I hope this is posted to the right place as I am a new user. (not everybody will be happy in any situation, but all I want is the right to watch uncut films.
