1200cc Twins Legal in AMA NOW!

I wouldn't say they are all about wait, but all things considered they are a small company in the realm of motorcycle manufacturers - and they still secured the MotoGP World Championship and various other national level championships last year along with many world championships in years past. They simply can only do so much in so many markets. Ducati haven't had a true effort here in several years. A lot goes into putting together a proper, competitive team. They won't do it in this market unless they are READY to come out of the gate competitive. Maybe for 2009 they will be back. I wouldn't be surprised.
 
If Michael Jordan can't compete with his budget on Suzukis...who can? That being said, I'm thrilled to hear that the AMA is falling apart at the seams and the Pro Racing division is being sold off for somebody else more qualified to run it.
 
What do you mean by AMA is falling apart??? If they stop AMA what kind of competition will we get to assist to in USA?
 
There is a new president and he's taking charge of an organization that hasn't pulled it's own head out of it's own a$$ for some years now. They are going back to a membership-driven motorcyclist rights group - where they belong. I don't hate the AMA, I just don't think they have a place in organizing, promoting, etc. any sort of racing. They are not equipped for that and have been tripping over their own feet for years. FINALLY, the new sheriff in town is doing something about it. All the racing programs will be run by proper race promotors and the AMA will get back to doing what it does best for it's members - fight for our rights as motorcyclists.

Many have been fired, many have quit, etc. I love it...about time. I respect people have families, pets, concubines and little boys they need to take care of in Thailand...whatever. Just because you have tenure somewhere shouldn't mean that your job position isn't on the line. Often times things don't change because the Good 'ol Boy club don't want it changed.
