12 y.o. Acid reflux/GERD

Our son (12) has had problems with acid reflux since birth. He was a preemie, constantly spitting up, put on Nutramigen. As an older child he feels like something is stuck and tries to "cough" it our, always burping, has the sour taste. He also has other health concerns that he neeRAB to take pills for (am/pm) and they also magnify some of the symptoms. He is on Prilosec and it takes the edge off.
Just wondering if anyone else has a child that was born with the symptoms and still struggling later in life with them.
 
I have heard of babies and children who suffer from reflux, and the symptoms seem to come and go. It sounRAB like your son suffers from fairly consistent symptoms though.

As a mom, I am sure it bothers you more than it bothers him at times. I hate to see my children in any type of discomfort!
