One needs to be 25 before any slack is cut on rates even on the slowest of slow vehicles....along with a good record

My thoughts all my life have been to only carry the state required insurance where ever I have lived at (liability only, in most cases). BY not having expensivie collision which is the bulk of most high premiuns I believe it makes one think a lil clearer and think twice on what one will do with their bike in most situations...it has for me through the years.

If I drop it I fix it, always have always will. I have never been willing to pay somebody big bucks for a what if, or my mistake.

Of course the main key in being able not to carry collision insurance is one has to really own their bike and not strapped to the man, who understandably alwasy requires collision insurance.

I think I'll check with AAA thanks phil, Statefarm f*#$ed me pretty hard just recently so I will look elsewhere, but up until 3 months ago, SF would have another vote.

State Farm about $430/yr with $1000 deductible. Multiple policy discount with other cars and home owners insurance. 32yrs old with clean driving record.

State Farm $315/year Full coverage with $250 deductible.
PA resident Age36 w/ clean record

The same policy for me through Progressive was $1125/year!

I agree. I feel that in my case it would be more cost effective (in most cases) to get theft/liability and fix the bike myself in the event of a wreck that is my own fault. Plus it gives me more reason to drive carefully on the road. If a crash happens ( ) then I would be able to rebuild the bike the way i want it to be done. I have frame sliders that would hopefully take care of the major (more expensive) parts.

Hey now.. quick replys are .. well just that QUICK. I guess were not as sophisticated here in Colorado.
