The gasket that is directly attached to the gas cap? If that is what you are talking about, it's intact, not torn or anything. The little space around the rim of the opening is collecting fuel. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Okay, I was thinking the same thing, just was not 100 percent because I am not a motorcycle mechanic, especially not a Ducati mechanic. But this confirms my suspicions and will have to take a look at that now. Thank you.
