103 remap on stock 96

I don't know what differences there are between the stock 96 and 103 ECM flash. Call Fuel Moto and talk to them before doing anything, as if anyone would know about this they would since they do dyno tunes day in and day out. They won't BS you and sell most tuners, mufflers, AC, and even have their own lines of hardware. Do a search here and read the volumes of positive feedback.

For most riders I personally like their Power Package, which is a PCV with map for your bike, AC, and Jackpot mufflers. IMO its the best bang-for-the-buck Stage 1 outfit available. With this you can grow by doing future upgrades and you can obtain maps for these changes from Fuel Moto at no extra cost.

Heck, it looks like you already have the 103" stage 1 map installed along with your SE intake. Just put on your slip-ons and leave it as is for now. I would recommend checking with FuelMoto and their JackPot slip-ons. They are deep sounding and very nice quality...

With the 1690 Stage I download, your ECM thinks it's supplying fuel to a 103, so your engine is getting a slightly richer fuel mix than it would had the dealer used the the download for a Stage I 96". Some dealers do this to help cool the engine since the richer mix alleviates somewhat the very lean (EPA mandated) condition.

Get the mufflers you want, ride the bike, and if your fuel mileage is good, rideability is good, plugs fine, etc., call it good and forget about Fuel Pak, SERT, PCV, etc. until you decide to do cams, bigger engine, etc.

Sounds like your good for now, i would add an exhaust to that set up no problem.
I believe the stage II 103 flash is for cams and a 103 BB kit?

Thanks everyone, for the good advice. Lots of great ideas came from this posting. Yes, it appears to me and friends as well as the highly recommended Indy who did my 5k service that the bike runs great and fuels properly on the 103 Stage 1 map that was installed at 1k. I just need to upgrade the stock exhaust to get the full benifit from it. I'm definitely going to go with either the V&H Power Dual header or the Jackpot 2-1-2 Header. Then I just have to find a set of slip-ons that will get the job done without too much of a volume increase over stock as I ride two up about 70% of the time and the copilot doesn't like it real loud. I'm thinkin either the V&H Monster Ovals or the Jackpot Dyno tuned which has a choice of three different baffles. Does anyone know where I could find sound bites of the Jackpot mufflers?
And by the way if any of you are ever passing through San Angelo area look me up! The first round is on me
