101 Ways Axed

Great news..101 ways to leave a gameshow has been axed. It could have been a great show..instead it was boring.

Now...if the BBC want a smash saturday show...and keep Mr. Jones...then they should acquire the rights to The Amazing Race. The US series is now on its 17th series, has won numerous Emmys and there is now a 4th series of The Amazing Race Asia. We want a UK version.

Come on BBC..this could be the smash hit of 2011!!

They could do worse than a show I saw in the States earlier this year, Minute To Win It.

It's like ITV's The Cube, but done on the cheap. Contestants have a minute to complete challenges involving plastic cups, pencils, drinks cans etc (so not much in the way of expensive equipment needed) to win cash. They have 3 lives before they're chucked off.

It's quite addictive, and I know some other countries are doing their versions.

Steve Jones - doesn't suit the show, or presenting anything other than T4 to be honest.
Format - Silly and dragged out way too long.

I'm glad it's canned. It was awful to watch.

A friend of mine and his family enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as it could have been for me.

I can't wait for Total Wipeout to return to Saturday evenings though, on a side note.

Didn't ITV try a UK version of The Amazing Race a number of years ago? I seem to recall it being presented by Richard Bacon, they had challenges to do but also had to make their own way from A to B and just hop in a car or boat.

Quite possibly the slowest and most dragged out show ever to hit the screens.

If could have have been pretty good had they have not been so frustratingly slow

The big fault was (as others have said) the tedious process of slowly saving each person one by one, then announcing the loser and giving them three seconRAB to prepare for their exit. They should've just announced the losing answer and immediately drop that person randomly with little warning.

Also could've made the "exits" a little more varied...it was either dropping from a great height (usually into water) or being dragged along in something. Got repetitive after a while.

I'm slightly gutted, I have to say...wasn't the worst show I've seen recently, but it could've been so much better.:(
