little help....its critical that I replace my tmobile sidekick with a pda/smart phone. I plan to stay with tmobile.

my new phone must have email, edge, bluetooth, wifi, camera, large screen, video playback capability, large/expandable memory. speaker phone

I don't care what operating system it uses, however I would perfer a phone that isn't closed platformed. I would like the ability to add 3rd party apps.

lastly, a friend of mine has a pda he also uses as a universal remote control. is it true a pda/smart phone with infared can do this as well....?

thanks for taking the time to help....

Not to sound like a treo fan-boy, but you can do all of that with a Treo 650. Check out http://treocentral.com and you will find an SDIO universal remote card (since on board IRDA on anyphone basically sucks beyond 2 feet), an SDIO GPS card (if desired) and I believe has a 802.11b "sled" that the treo can slide into. THis would be better for you, since having all of those options in one device will A) make it pricey. B) make it heavy all the time. C) kill all battery life.
