Hi, I purchased a newer sony reciever off a friend and it is a 6.1 surround. It says there is 100 watts per channel on the head unit and I want to purchase some polk audio monitor 50s for it however it says that that Recommended Amplifier Power is between 20 - 150 Watts a piece. Now Im wondering if I should bother hooking these up or will it just sound awful or will it fry something. I have a smaller room so im just going to have the 2 floor speakers, a sub and a center channel for the highs. And how good are sony recievers? I mean I picked it up for $40 but the newest models are like $200
