100 Greatest Stand-Ups 2010 (Next Friday)

Won't get any from me, brilliant comedian defiantly be in my top 10.

If you want to see someone get a slating, watch this

I hope Russell Brand makes the top 15, if not 10. :D

Tommy Tiernan is good, bit of a one trick pony, haven't seen much of him recently.

Apparently that gave him some problems in ordinary life, though! For instance, he might go into a bar and order a drink, quite normally, and the barman would start laughing. Apparently he used to get quite offended and annoyed when things like that happened.

I take it all these people saying 'I can't believe [insert name of young comedian] is higher than [insert name of old comedian]' are actually old themselves and remember the 'good old days' and are feeling nostalgic and getting upset that someone new is better than their old favourite.

Have you heard 'Rant in E-Minor', the gig that goes horribly wrong? It's so brilliant just because you can hear his brain ticking. Eventually he gives up on the crowd and really starts riffing...

'Flying Saucers' is his best CD but 'Rant in E-Minor' is good because you never get to hear a comedian go against an audience and this shows how brave a performer he was.

On this point can I just point the finger at Letterman and the right-wing media's control on American TV that led to Hicks last TV performance being cut. I'll never forget this, never forgive. :(

Yup, Danny Baker's mentioned him a few times on his radio show.
IIRC He was on a show Danny was presenting and said something about his bad back and people fell about laughing expecting a joke, he wasn't joking, he was in genuine pain.

Definition the 'troubled clown' by all accounts.

I was sure O'hanlon would drop out of the list, but he's made a considerable jump. Has he done much in recent years, he was on a terrible sitcom in Ireland and done a football travel show for Irish television aswell, but that's it as far as I know.

Another point there, I'm biased having met Chubby on a number of occasions but he is known as one of the nicer comedians people meet, a gentleman. I've heard lots of stories about Jim Davidson either being pissed or stories similar to your ex.
