10 Singers Who Can't Sing?

Might ruffle a few feathers with this one, but I feel that Bob Dylan is a truly awful singer... perhaps a great lyricist, tunesmith, whatever.... but he didn't have a great voice...

Now let the slegding of scottsy begin...

There are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many we could all add to the list, but, IMHO, alot of the list is dead on. Celine Dion(despite what others here think) CANNOT sing. She's so horrible, and a welcome addition to this already wonderful list. As some asked, how the Jonas bros, Ashlee/Jessica Simpson didn't make the list(along with Pete Wentz), is anyone's guess.

I have to go with Ashlee Simpson, Britany and I love Kanye West but did you guys see him on Saturday Night Live? He didn't sound too good with the singing....I think he neeRAB to stick with the rap game and producing. This blues artist is way from back in the day but a friend of mine was talking to me about Billie Holiday and that she received so many praises for her vocal ability and she didn't know why. Personally, I like her voice.

Dosen't make him a horrible singer.

He's not, and even so. I think if a band is good enough, it makes an otherwise lousy singer passable, it's all about style and chemestry. Coyne fits with the Lips, and Kiedis fits with the Chili's.

Lets focus on singers we can all agree on, without picking the VERY obvious choices.

Lets see... Michael McDonald. Now that's how this thread should work.

Eh, you just compared football to music! Well, music can get away with not having a certain technical level, because it can bring an emotional intensity instead. It's called an expression. If it's successful it can move us very deeply. I'm sure football players also bring a lot of emotions when they play, and we can admire them for that, but without some technical level, it won't win them a game. There are no points for emotions and aesthetics in football, right.

I agree. American Idol contestants technically know how to sing for themselves, but they don't know how to sing for a song. It's really just showing off.

Anybody said John Mayer and the "singers" from Suicide Silence and WhiteChapel. Two epicly inferior banRAB- as most deathcore is

I don't think many people would dispute that, he's known for his awful voice. But I'll tell you what, I also think he's extremely overrated as a lyricist and that will probably stir up a hornets nest. :p:

why u so mad alla the time

Right, it wasn't an absolute comparison. I was just pointing out that I, personally, tend to enjoy music more when the singer can actually sing.
