'10 SG rim on a 07???

Ive been looking into this mod for a while. I asked several dealers and they say it cant be done. I wanted the '10 18 " SG wheel on my 03 RG but wasnt crazy about having a 3 1/2" wheel up front and a 3" in back. Are there any issues with handling? I settled on a 09 wheel mainly because its 3" wide but would rather do the 18".
 
I finally completed the mod.

2010 virgin wheel>>nothing was installed.
Stayed with a 25 mm axel.
Installed 2008 25 mm wheel bearing and spacer.
Reused the 07 brake rotors.
Outer wheel spacers are from a 2010 FLHX.
Axel used is the Klock Werks flush mount.
