'10 SG rim on a 07???

honestly i really can't tell in difference in the ride. Rode my buddy's SG though with the 21 front and 18 rear and you can tell the differnce! High center of gravity and feel all the bumps in the road.

I've been thinking about adding a front 18" wheel/tire from a 2010 to my stock 2007 16" setup. I had questions about the rotors & spacers but couldn't find the info I needed. I think you guys got it nailed. I'll probably wait until my front tire needs replacement then do the wheel swap in conjunction with chrome lower sliders. I'm saving this thread.

UPDATE! I mentioned before that all I did is have the bearings off of my 06 Street Glide pressed into my 10 wheel and flip flop the spacers and I was off and running! Well not for long! I had massive bearing falure. The shop that pressed in the bearings did not notice that the bearings for the 10 wheel are narrower than those of a 07 and down which creates pressure on the bearing on the right side! My brother is a machinist so I went to his shop and we got the correct setup. What you need to do is leave the stock bearings in the 10 wheel I repeat do not remove the bearings! If you have a 07 or earlier model you must install your old rotors because the 10 rotors are to large in diameter or you can do as I did and turn the 10 rotors down to 11.5 inches. The next thing is obtain a 25mm axle 08 or newer or do as I did and turn your old axle down to 25mm. Get a new set of spacers from a 10 install and you are done! I hope this helps.

I wondered how your set up was going to work. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, the whole spacers being different lengths made me think you had to use the newer axle, bearings and spacers. When I mocked mine up with the 07 spacers, the brakes would bind. Like I said and you discovered
'10 wheel
25mm axle
stock bearings for '10 wheel
spacers for 25mm
