10 points, is 'across the universe' the weirdest movie ever?

no. i found it a wonderful movie. i guess if your not arty, i guess it could be a little strange, but i loved it. i loved the imagry in it. especialy when the soldiers are sing shes so heavy while there carying the statue of liberty. that was just amazing

yeah its pretty wierd. it is just about each persons life.. and what they are going through.... I THINK???? hahaha

It's actually about nothing. All this stuff happens and it's really overwhelming but nothing really happens. I liked it though (I don't even know why)

it's all about life in the 60's
influenced by drugs and the fight against vietnam
jude is an illegal citizen from England, Liverpool actually
he and lucy fall in love, they live in new york where she becomes a hardcore anti-war protestor.
her brother max is drafted and sent to Nam, that's a big reason as to why lucy opposes the war
sadie is like any other musician, trying to make it
and actually her guitarist,jo-jo, is supposed to be Jimi Hendrix

the whole movie is deciphering the Beatles' lyrics
putting them to life
those lyrics were stories
they were extremely influential as well

so basically the movie is about life in the 60's, the drugs, the hippies, the lives, the war, etc.

It was an a-typical boy-meets-girl, boy-looses-girl, boy-tries-to-get-girl back story....at least as far as I made it in.

I was so bored with it I turned it off after 20 minutes.

One of the very few movies I've rented that I simply couldn't watch.
