I saved a kitten, found her at a tire shop and she was close to death. She was an indoors kitten for about 3 months but she always just wanted to be back outside. So, I started letting her go outside as she pleased and now she spend 95% of the time outside. I set out food and water for her and she always stays right in the yard... we are moving to another home with a little more land but it's down the street from our old house.. I was just wondering if there was anything I need to do to ensure she stayed in the new yard? Should I keep her indoors for a while? I just don't want her wandering off, she is my baby.

keep her indoors for awhile, and then start bring her out on a cat leash... first time just about three steps from the door.. then a little more over the course of days... she will prob visit the old place... but she will know home.

If You Keep Her Indoors for a While She will Get Used to The New Place, the Look, The Smell and Understand that is Her New Home. After a While You Could Let Her Back Outside and She Will 99% Stay in the Yard Like she Did at Your Old House

i wud 4 sure bring her inside for a while. when she starts 2 get used 2 it then let her back outside, and bring her in at night. dont put her food to far away from the front porch tho.

Yes, I would try to keep her inside for about a month after you move. Get her used to the idea that this is the new home. You can make inside the home attractive by having a variety of toys and activities for the cat.
