1 flashing red light xbox 360?

okay my xbox been off for hours and when i turn it on it still has that one red ring n the screen has chinese words...and american words..this problem shouldnt be that serious i seen worse ..what is the towel trick..i need help right now
 
happened it me...don't try anything like opening it up. you could permanently damage it. go online to their website and send the xbox in to get fixed. the flashing red light means one of the chips is out of place and needs to be fixed. let the pros do it. (plus they give you a free month of xbox live when its sent back)

The towel trick won't work, you have a completely unrelated problem.

Try unplugging everything (including your hard drive and any possible memory units), wait a couple minutes, plug the CABLES back in, and turn it on. If you don't get the error, turn it off, put the HD back in, and turn it on again.

If you still get the error on either or both steps, you may have to contact Customer Service.
 
You have the e74 error. This means there is an issue with either the AV cable (unlikely) or your xbox console has over-heated and damaged the graphics chip inside the console. (very likely).

The towel trick might get you running for a couple more hours but you will end up doing more damage. You will need MS to fix this, if you are not under warranty I suggest finding someone local to fix this for you for a smaller fee than what MS would charge you.
