1.5 fish tank for a crowntail betta?

Hi! Im getting a 1.5 fish tank for a crowntail betta!
This is the tank:

I was wondering if its acceptable for a crowntail betta?

I KNOW they thrive in a 5 gallon tank, but i really cant get that.
Right now he is in a 1 gallon tank thingy.

I wanna add decor into the tank.

This Betta leaf hammock (BUT i heard it rusts? :O any way to prevent this?)
