'08 Honda Civic for first car?

I love the looks of the new Civic.
They seem pretty reliable, and we have an Acura that hasn't caused any problems for us.

My 16th birthday is in 7 months and I am taking drivers ed.
I will be going to college in a lower income area so my dream car is a little ridiculous... Unsupervised parking lot... Flashy car... You got the idea?

Is a Civic a good first car for a responsible 16 year old girl?
Good to know. Does anyone know WHY Civic's insurance is more?

It's a good car for anyone - even for a 33 year old like me. Fear will get your car stolen. Not neighborhoods.

from my point. any car is a good first car but it has to be able to be driven and not have problems from the start.
i wouldn't worry about the car. no ones gonna try and steal it, unless its an Si but then again they'll have a hard time trying to take it. Just be sure not to leave valuables in plain sight inside the car.

yeah i think so. i'm getting a used 09 civic as my first car in a couple months!
only thing is, civics have pricier insurance. but the good mpg makes up for it :)

that is a great car for a kid
it has a gov chip to supervise young drivers for not speeding
the car is reliable unlike the other hondas below the 93 mark

the insurance is expensive because where i live they tend to get stolen alot

just get an alarm and a steer lock and you should be good to go
but if u want extra security for your car
i suggest getting a clutch lock, a quick release for your steering wheel so you can take it off when u dont need it and a kill switch,

dont worry about the car being stolen and beside they will have a hard time to steal an 2008 car and for the insurance its that they think its a sporty car since people fix these type of cars up and
