I bought my '06 Wrangler at the end of December this past year. Within the last month or so, I noticed the clutch pedal clicks when I press it in to shift. How serious of a problem is this, because the clutch isn't covered in my warranty and I don't want to fork out $900 to fix it just yet if I don't have to. I called the mechanic and he said it might be a bearing problem and I have to replace the entire clutch, but after reading some posts on here owners have said otherwise. I checked the website for recalls and mine was clear, so that option is out. What have you guys come across as the problem and solution to the problem?
On another note I have noticed that the engine makes and odd sound when the rmp's are over 2000. It sounds similar to when you put a baseball card in a bicycle tire like kids sometimes do. So I will ask the same question as before, what have you guys come across as the problem and solution to the problem?
Other than these issues the Jeep is the best car I have owned, I never want anything but a Wrangler. Low MPG is worth the fun off roading and on the highway.
