06 jeep grand cherokee laredo towing hitch reciver?

im about to buy a towing package for my 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo, howver it looks as if i may have to cut out my rear bumper some in order for the reciever to actually be visible. My back bumper is solid plastic all the way across and looks like it might get in the way of the reciever, anyone know if it will or not???
p.s. im PLANNING on installing it, i've done one before, im just not sure about cutting the plastic bumper part.
 
Ask the people who are going to install it. There are numerous brands of hitch receivers with different designs.
