05 Suzuki Gs500f vs. 08 Hyosung GT250R?

Looking to buy my first motorcycle, I have found two that are both used and easily affordable, the 500f has 12k miles and a little cosmetic damage, and the 250r has 2k miles and no damage at all; I would just use it to drive around for pleasure and fun. Which one? I know hyosungs have a bad rep but would it be better than this suzuki? And dont say get ninja 250; etc... cant afford one here where i live.
 
Get the Gs500F, that's what i did.

I was in the same situation as you, i liked the ninja, but could not afford one and went with a 2004 gs500f. The first day was a bet scary, but after that you will realize that you have made the right choice. After a month or so, when you are passing all of the 250's you'll know what i mean.
 
Go with the GS. Actually, the Hyosung has a pretty good reputation, but the Suzuki has been one of the sweetest middleweight street bikes since it first appeared as a 425 in the late '70s. I have ridden them from many eras, and every one has been a nice bike.
