04 Pontiac Grand Prix Guages Shut Down?

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong when the rpm, fuel, traction control and hot/cold guages shut down? At first when I restarted it worked fine then today I can't get them to work at all. The car still runs fine but the guages do not. Also, when I pulled over to restart the car the automatic locks wouldn't work without doing it myself. Any help would be appreciated. I know nothing about cars at all.

The most common cause is a faulty ignition switch. They are great for doing that and shutting down your blower motor on your heating and A/C system too.
