I am having issues with the fan on my HVAC system (front) either not working or then working non stop at a high speed, even when the engine is shut off and the control panel is off. I have been told it's the Control Panel or the Control Module - which is it and how can I test? This has drawn down the battery twice in 2 days so we have removed the fuse for the fan and so far the battery is holding a charge. Does this point to the Control module? I happen to be a handy female and the next question is how hard is it to switch this out? I was told it's behind the glove box.
Thanks in advance for all answers.

It is most likely your control module, it should be in the engine compartment hidden somewhere, to test you need a volt meter and a repair manual. The manual will explain everything in more detail, including location, testing procedures, and most importantly to weekend warriors, a troubleshooting section!
