I am working on an 03 Mazda 6 with a 4 cyl. automatic transmission. it pull great and shifts great in 1st and 2nd gear but as soon as it shifts to 3rd it feel like it goes into neutral. I have tried it in manual mode also and the same thing happens. I have even tried going past 3rd and going to 4th. but still nothing. If I hurry and put it back to 2nd it will drive fine again but if I just leave it in 3rd or 4th the AT light will come and and it won't pull at all till you restart. the engine. I have worked on many cars before but never a mazda. I acts like there is a solonoid not working propperly but I don't know it there is any in the mazda 6 transmission. I have seen on here that other poeple have had the same trouble but haven't told the cause or remedy. any help would be greatly appreciated.
