Well the best thing you can do is take it to a Parts store and have them scan the computer to tell you why the check engine light is on. Once you find the codes and what they mean is the first step in repairing it. Can't give advice if we don't know what codes come up and what they are for. Has there been any difference in the way the car drives and runs??
