I have a ram with a little over 103,000 miles on it. It drove fine the other day with no problems, parked it outside, tried starting it in the morning and i couldn't get it to start. Went and got a new battery, now it starts but does not stay running, unless i keep my feet on the gas pedal. I was told it could be bad gas, i poured some heet in the tank had, put a hammer on the gas pedal and had it idle like that for about half an hour, but as soon as i take the hammer off it dies. I did the altnator test and it was fine. I was told it can be the voltage regualtor but i have no idea where that is located. Any ideas out there? thanks
I left the truck running for about an hour or so with a hammer on the gas pedal, after i took it off it ran fine,, thanks guys for all your help!!!
