02 Grand Cherokee laredo vs Pioneer stereo system?

Hello, I have a 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo 4.7 v8. Its just plain without 4x4 or leather seats with a single cd player. I was wondering if I got a aftermarket 100 watt 4 speaker sony or pioneer mp3 cd player for about $100-130 with the 4 speakers. Will it sound any better?

If not how could I get better sound, nothing outrageous, but something loud and clear. I could buy anything online, but I don't want to have to go into a audio place and have them install it.

the only thing that changes sound is changing speakers. all the head unit does is add a little more power.if you want a cleaner sound then i would go with a pioneer it has a less distorted amp and a better equalizer. if you go to best buy you can buy the product there and choose to have it installed or not. they'll sell you equipment and the parts to install them without install or jacked up prices because you don't want them to install them. that way if you have any problems you can take them back. if u want it loud and clear i would suggest a four channel amp and some infinity or alpine coaxial, if you have the extra for components they will give you a better separation in sound
 
pioneers made my car sound a hell of a lot better, but the thing is man

Soo I would suggest pioneers, but dont let anyone know you have em
