01 Ford Taurus check engine code p0430?

01 Taurus running real rough for about a week. The check engine light came on yesterday and i had it checked. The code is p0430. I recently had a code of low egr flow and replaced the valve and senser. So this p0430 is a new one. What could be the cause. Could it still be somthing with the egr. Maybe a dirty throttle body? A blockage? Or isit more like a bad cat? I did at one time have a bad plug wire that you could see spraking. Could that have caused this? The car idles and runs rough. seems to have gotten worse when the engine light can on. Thanks for any help!!!!
 
That code usually means a bad DPFE sensor. If that's the one you had replaced, it may have been done incorrectly. It's nothing to do with the cat.
 
P0430 is a catalist code. the misfire you had could have dumped too much raw fuel in the exaust and messed up the converter. The running rough issue could be because the converter is cloged. Most exaust shops can test it.
