01 ford 7.3 very long crank time after sits,smells rich after start,after

start push gas will not rev-up 4 5mi? 01 ford after sitting over night, cranks long time to start, after start up it will not go push gas down but no go after warms up it is normal. when running after warn smells like strong fuel. (rich) buzzed all injectors test ok, lift pump 100psi, fuel filter new and had same problem before replaced. Check connuity on glow-plugs (good)
 
i have an 02 and my 7.3 has been flawless with 2 small problems

first.....cam sensor was going bad which caused similar problems and my miles was around 100k

second.....injector plug was losing connection which caused a miss but would still run enough to get me home and that happened around 110k

after talking to a few people i found that cam sensors tend to be kinda common to go bad on these trucks,so much so that the service tech at local recommended keeping a spare in my truck while on trips,very easy to replace too
 
drove a wrecker that did the same thing never did find out why just thought it was a treat of a ford every thing sounds ok. check all that stuff on the one i drove. after it warmed up would over a 100 mph hope some one can help you
