you are either 1..not relaxed and tensing up,2 throwing high without bringing knee up first,3 actually overstreching at warmup causing contractions or a few other things ,as i say without seeing or a real accurate description of how u kick i cant tell
1..(block),lower urself,hands up,elbows in.2..(duck),flex knees,come up in a"V" opposite punch,hands up,good way to counterpunch! 3(slip)move head sideways just enough to dodge punch.don't bend backwards!...those are three diffrent ways.
i think boxing would be good for you.but martial arts are more "situation oriented" than mental/spiritual stuff. thats movie hype. i've trained in both,so go check out some places.they let you watch for free.see what intrests you more
