If you have a nebulizer , is there really a point of going to the E.R ?

I haven't had to go the the ER since I got my nebulizer, but...the time could come. The only 2 visits I made to the ER for asthma were when all I had was a rescue inhaler...before the Advair and Singulair. I haven't had to use a nebulizer in over a year, but I have 3 ready for when the need...

    Help please

Call your doctor. You need a rescue inhaler to have on hand. You may even need to use a nebulizer for a while until the Advair gets your asthma under control. Also ask your doctor (or all yourself) if your local health dept. offers classes for new asthma patients. These classes are...

    another asthma flare up

Do you use a nebulizer? I had to use one regularly for several months, to get mine under control, along with Advair and Singulair. I couldn't tell you the last time I had to use it. And now, I'm also able to cut the Advair and Singulair dosages in half. But I do agree this crazy weather can...

    Where can i buy nebules?

I'm on daily meRAB, and have a rescue inhaler available, but once a year or so, I need more than that. I have 3 nebulizers...home, office, and portable. I keep a supply of nebules in my fridge for emergencies. Much cheaper than a trip to the ER. I've been to the ER twice, and all that was...

    tired of athma attacks

Do you use a nebulizer? The first few months I was trying to get my asthma under control with Advair and Singulair, using a nebulizer fairly regularly prevented attacks.

    singulair

I've been taking Singulair for 6 or 7 years. Love, love, love it. I've never had any side effects from it. I also take Advair 250/50. Originally I took 10mg Singulair and 2 puRAB of Advair per day. These days, I usually only need half of that per day.

    Asthma and Advair

I had lost my voice for a couple weeks before I could get an appt. with my doctor. "Oh, did I forget to tell you to gargle with warm salt water after using?" Grrrr. I tried the salt water, but Listerine actually works better for me.

Are Southern States good or bad for Allergies?

Anything Gardenia scented, the live flowers, soap, sprays, etc., make me sneeze, give me a headache, and make me nauseated. The scent of the live flowers can be noticed from quite a distance. But they are beautiful flowers.

if tsh is high then what happen

TSH, as in thyroid stimulating hormone? If so, you're on the wrong board, but to answer your question, a high TSH result often means an under-active thyroid gland that is not responding adequately to the stimulation of TSH due to some type of acute or chronic thyroid dysfunction. Rarely, a high...

Eyeshadow from China...could it cause allergies??

Talc is a red flag. It's definitely an allergen, but it's also a toxin, and possibly a carcinogen, as it's closely related to asbestos.

    Allergic Dermatitis

Sometimes I dilute the tea tree oil in a quality aloe vera gel. If it's just a couple small spots, I'll use it undiluted. I've read it dilutes well with essential oils, but I'm always weary that the oils may cause even more irritation. I do think we can become immune to steroiRAB, but...

    Best Prescription Allergy Med?

I also have not taken Zyxol, but I've taken Allegra, Claritin, Clarinex and Zyrtec. None of them made me drowsy. Because I can get the generics cheaply, I rotate Claritin and Zyrtec. I seem to get immune after a few months and need to change it up. For me, they seem to all work equally. I...

    Allergies around cats SOMETIMES.

Could they be bathing the cat? If cats have recently been bathed, I'm not bothered as much. Some people are allergic to the dander, and some are allergic to the saliva. Bathing helps with both. I gradually became allergic to cats when I was a teen, and allergy medication didn't help. I...

    Allergic Dermatitis

Skin allergies aren't always a histamine reaction. When I get hives from playing with a cat, an antihistamine will work. I have to wear gloves in my profession, and though I'm not allergic to latex, I will break out from the powder in some gloves, and antihistamines won't touch that rash...

    Inhalers for Allergies?

I get a head rush every time I use a new albuterol inhaler. I always shake it well, but without fail, a new inhaler always goes straight to my head. During a bad attack, I did take more albuterol than I should have, I knew it, but I was trying to avoid an ER visit. I thought my heart was...
