Depends on the problem, if you have to replace the whole A/C unit then you're going to pay for parts and then you need to know how to install it which isn't simple. If it's under warranty then take it to Honda and make them do it, if not then try and find a local specialised dealer or mechanic...

The part exists, but I can't find anything for a mazda protege 5. Maybe you should take your car to autozone and ask them to check the part for you, if it even exists for your car. I know they're used on big block el caminos but a mazda? Sounds a little odd.
