That would be a tough call, but it would be between the 15" Kickers and the HCCA. The 15's have more cone area. But the HCCA is kick-@$$!! If you have an amp powerful enough to power the Kickers well and enough room for a GOOD quality box then they would probably hit higher dB.

If you underpower the Type-X then it will sound like crap. Run it at 2 ohms and just turn down your amp a little bit. Once the speaker has been broke in then you can turn it up. 1200 watts should be fine with a Type X if it's in a proper enclosure.

It all depends on what kind of system you are trying to build and how much money you are wanting to spend. Your local stereo shop or eBay can get you a nice setup to make your music sound great for only a couple hundred dollars. Or you can spend a couple thousand and shake buildings and break...
