No, it's not fake but the screen brightness and clarity are so high that it makes you wonder if it's a real screen until someone touches it. It doesn't so much as flicker until you start touching it or pressing buttons.

i have both and tend to use the n97 more. The bigger screen and better resolution makes it that much better. Plus the new kinetic scrolling is nice

It's all in the design...I find the blackjacks to be long device with little screen and big keyboard, while the curve does not seem like that at all....

At least one American animation company, Rankin-Bass, had been outsourcing animation to Japan since the mid-1960's, so you'd have to go back at least that far. I suspect the last time there has been no foreign outsourcing was when the major film studios all had their own in-house animation...

As was said before, it is because hands are hard to draw, or rather, far more noticable when done poorly. The hand and face are the two first things we recognize as babies, so it is very noticable. Thisis also the reason why many cartoon charachters wear gloves, to make the hand easier to draw.
