Is it worth me paying the $100 difference to go with the Epic compared to the Evo 4G? I've noticed the Evo can lag quite a bit and the screen isn't always the best to view when outside in the sun, but are the differences worth the price?

Hell yeah the camera is improved. You can get much closer with macro, and shows you point of focus. Aside from other algorithm changes to make pictures better in general. And then face detection.
