"Best Buy Theatre in, Nokia out"

I can't understand why I see Nokia phones on popular shows, but they get no advertising screen shots of it being a Nokia phone. A character on Burn Notice (USA) uses an E71. The main character on Covert Affairs (also USA) uses the new X6. I notice only because I'm familiar with these phones...

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Go to Symbian Freak and look for the Designer's Diary videos where they are interviewing the N97 designer. There are a few shots of him using the phone and you can see that his device has menu transitions and runs a lot more smoothly than the demos at MWC.

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

***A friendly reminder for everyone: I'm also excited about this upcoming Nokia ESeries device. However, showing the picture from unknown origin is one thing, posting/hotlinking directly to the Vodafone roadmap presentation/slides/pictures which CLEARLY classified as "CONFIDENTIAL" isn't a good...

Toon Zone Talkback - Fox & Cartoon Network Sued for "Family Guy" Music Spoof

How is the song even remotely "anti-semitic?" Peter innocently believes cultural stereotypes. He made no indication of hating anyone.

Ratatouille is the Pixar movie I enjoy most.

    Fictional Species In Animation

Not really, just pointing it out. Mudslugs range in size from a mouse to larger than a building depending how old they are. They're blind, but they move around by sense of smell and vibrations in the ground, as they can burrow and make their home underground and live in colonies.. They use...

2 Stupid Dogs - how did it originally air?

I don't know about cable, but it aired in syndication in its first copyright year. The squirrel was not part of the show, and there were no real half-hour episodes--you just got three Stupid Dogs cartoons at random. There was also a cold opener that I think was dropped when the squirrel was added.

The Simpsons - "Treehouse of Horror XXI" - Talkback [11/7]

I actually enjoyed this THOH episode. Even though most of the recent episodes are so-so, I enjoy the Halloween specials. Skit one and three were the most enjoyable, with three inching up as the best of XXI. Skit two was nice, I did love how it became a twist fest near the end, so many what ifs...

The Simpsons - "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?" - Talkback [12/13]

Not a bad episode at all. Homer was annoying but his presence was pretty marginal, so. There's something about Bart's delivery of the "a real-life Jaws bit my father's weiner off" that really worked. I don't know why. The Manning brothers and the Smothers Brothers were actually fun celebrity...

The CW4Kids Talkback: TMNT Top 10 (Spoilers)

"Future Shellshock" was just the shock of how much the show changed in a single episode. As for the plot of that episode, it wasn't too bad. Just the typical first episode set-up where you're introduced to a lot of things at once and don't know how to take it all in.

Futurama - "Attack of the Killer App" - Talkback [7/1]

Shouldn't have Fry just recorded the boil instead of showing Leela in the video too?

Blog Talkback: Anime in the Coming Decade

Well, it may also be a reflection of escapism playing an increasing role in Japanese life. When surveys are showing about 70 percent of non-married, Japanese, 20-something males don't have a girlfriend, and about 25 percent of 30-to-35-year-old males being outright virgins, that audience will...

Happy endings vs. Sad vs. Bittersweet

What do you choose when it comes to things like this? For me I choose bittersweet; although things didn't go as the person wanted we got the best of both worlds. I also like Sad endings that aren't to depressing and happy endings that aren't to cheesy. (Note: Mods I didn't know where else this...

    software install w/o Palm Desktop

PInstall is supposed to be able to work if Palm Desktop isn't installed. I used it at work on a PC running Windows NT 4 to install files to a Handspring Visor Deluxe with a serial cradle, and Palm Desktop was not on the machine at the time.
