    orion cobalt 800.1 amp problems?

    I have this amp all hooked up. the remote gain control is not working at all and the amp is producing very little power...i have it hooked up to a 500w orion xlt. i checked all the connections and everything is fine. Is the amp bad? any other ideas? i have the gain on the amp turned all the way up
